The inspired narrative regarding Gideon reminds us of the need to develop in our "walk of faith." Now typically, rarely do we initially grasp the immense importance of this reality.

Yet, as shown in the initial insights conveyed in chapter six, at some point, likewise, we all begin where Gideon starts to comprehend the deeper purposes of the outworking of divine will.

Commonly, our natural perspective is narrowed to our local circle and our preoccupations are affixed on matters that are close at hand.

Seeing the "big picture" is of less importance to us as compared to the daily crisis of the moment.  However, to be sure, at a pivotal juncture of the Lord's own choosing, that clouded perceptive is subject to dramatically change.
